Chin -- there are several threads over at hsbaseballweb.com discussing Pro-Motion Sports and their Blue-Grey Classics, as there are threads discussing lots of other showcase providers, too.

The long and short on Blue-Grey seems to be that Gus Bell and his staff are high quality folks who take a real interest in the players who attend their showcases. These Florida events are organized as tournaments, there is a nice dinner the first night for the palyers and their families, and the players reportedly have a good time. The level of competition is reportedly overall a step below Perfect Game but still very high, with lots of players who attend both. Similarly, there are mixed reports on how many scouts and colleges are in attendance, and who those are. The Florida events are fairly new and seem to be catching on, but the organization has been doing successful August events at Wake Forest, William & Mary and Coastal Carolina for several years.

If you can afford it and want a showcase/tournament opportunity with players from all over, it appears that it is worth attending. At the very least you'll get a good baseball experience with some nice folks at an outstanding facility. You might also "be discovered" there, too.

If you do, give us all a report.
