Team went to the Col fireworks last year as 1st year 14 team. It was a very good tourney. out of the 7 games we played. 5 were already qualified for nationals. a lot of really good games. Most of the fields and the complexes were sooooo nice. however, we managed to get stuck 75% of the time at a worn out highschool field. a lot of money to go a long way to play that. however, we were there for the games and not so much the ambience. but the ambience was nice none the less. I miss we did not go this year. I hope the girls have good games, it will be a great memory.

 

Yeah, it would have been cool for you to meet some TBR folks out there.

 

Coaches

We gave out 50 profile booklets in our two games and our 2010 kids got serious looks. We were approached by several schools wanting more info and the atmosphere is unreal. I walked over to another game after ours and UCLA, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Northwestern, Cal were all sitting together on the back row. In a walk around the middle of the complex, I saw, Penn, UNCC, Georgetown, Va Tech, Texas, NCSU, Fla State, UTC, Kennasaw, Limestone, all the previous teams mentioned. At 1:30 there were easily 100 coaches watching four games.

But that was before I joined up with TBR and had made the decision to make the move, also I was hoping to meet some in Texas this year. however, our coaches decided not to take the team to the national qualifier and to settle with going to western nationals, even if we win state. I was extremely upset at this decision because that was not the team goal. as fortune would have it, two of the teams that qualified, we beat on a regular basis. I talked to Bugsdad who's team is going, going to play a joke on my buddie and his team that did qualify, when they get to Texas.
