    Maybe JM15 can enlighten us?

Yes...I'm thinking Area I only gets one bid because a Area I team is hosting the Tournament this year.

Looking at last years pairings...Area I, II, & IV got 2 teams and Area III only one since High Point hosted and they were from Area III?????

This was Area 2's year to host the State Tournament (*I think*) and nobody put a bid on it, so Garner bid on it and took it. Someone correct me if I am wrong... but that would explain why Area 2 only gets one rep in the tourney.

This note comes from an e-mail I received from the Area 1 Commissioner earlier today:

"Area I will have a representative from the Eastern Conference and Western Conference, plus the host team, Garner, in the State Tournament.

Note: If Garner wins the Western Conference, the team they defeated in the Conference Finals will advance to the State Tournament."

    State Tournament Representatives:
    Area I - 3
    Area II - 1
    Area III - 2
    Area IV - 2

I talked with Bob recently at one of our games and told him of some of the problems teams had with his predecessors. He said that was because they weren't basball people.

He may be right in part. How many people would give losses to both teams in a suspended game?

On the other hand, certain ways of doing things apply in any situation. You commuinicate with people and don't head for the hills when they have concerns and questions. Bob has been great at keeping the lines open.
