I was not that impressed by Cary. I may have caught them on an off night. Maybe they didn't have a full team. There is no way the team I saw play is better than Stanly, Lexington, or Cherryville. Like I said, maybe I caught them on an off night.

Cary plays Randoph County this week. This should be a good test.

Has Cary played Wayne County this season? I think Wayne has a really good team.

Garner has won one or two games all season and played Wayne County down to the wire twice before losing.

I think Wayne on paper is good, but I saw on another post where their two ACC signees (1 going to pitch at UNC and 1 at NCSU---I think) have only thrown 12 combined innings this year. This obviously makes them less of a threat.

They were most likely told to shut it down a little after a strenuous high school season. A little rest, then pump 'em up for the playoffs and they will be fine when fall practice comes around. Throwing all fall/winter/spring/summer/fall is tough for an incoming freshman.

    no game

this has nothing to do w/ rankings..............but I went to see the Benson legion team play at Souith Johnston HS on Sun. night vs. Durham, and there was no game when I got there.
it was on a schedule I saw in the newspaper.

    No Game ?!?!?

Not that unusual for these games to be rescheduled late. I know of three games changed the day of the game for reasons other than weather (not enough players, couldn't get transportation, field double scheduled, etc). So, it is best to contact someone associated with the team or find the team's website to determine whether the game is being played (but not a guarantee of it being played as these aren't updated as they should).

Our two ACC signees haven't pitched much because of other obligations. They will be in the rotation come mid-July.
