I firmly believe that girls have more endurance than boys when it comes to athlectics...now I didn't say they were stronger than boys, but could outlast them in the heat. I have coached boys and girls over the past (9) years, and without a doubt girls are better equipped for longevity. How many of you out there think that boys could play ball from 7:30 am in the morning until 8:00pm at night and not complain?? Yet over and over girls are doing this every weekend........Your Thoughts ????

    Boys are whiners....

and Enka reminded me that girls can see better. I just think that girls are mentally tougher when they choose to be....or they may choose not to be. It's their perogative :)

Have you seen any boys who can play five games on sat. finish up at 10:30pm and back for an 8:00 am game? dd has pitched as many as 6 games in one weekend, and only complained a wee bit - not. don't have any experience coaching boys, but girls just dont quit!!!!:trophy:

    Boys vs Girls

Dont forget, boys have to carry all that EGO around,I'm sure that contributes to tiring them out faster...Girls on the other hand simply walk around thinking about Barbie,soft-fuzzy bunnies, and what they're going to wear after the game right?:joker: :joker:

    Consider This

Over the years I have coached both boys and girls, but more recently girls for the past 13 years.

One many things I have learned from my experience is this- Boys have to play good to feel good, girls have to feel good to play good.

Example- if you have a boys team and you add a new player, the first thing the boys will want to know about the new kid is "is he any good?". You add a new player to a girls team, the first thing they want to know is "is she nice?"

However, I will have to say as I have coached 16U and 18U fastpitch in recent years, I have found these ladies are more focused and committed and they are looking for players that can help the team win.

You are so right Bmac1! Another example - If the coach yells at a girl all the other girls get mad at the coach. If he yells at a boy all the other boys are just glad it wasn't them.
