A lot of this is guess work and the conference tournaments can play havoc with the teams/matchups, but this is what it looks like currently. I could be very wrong is some of these predicted matchups. Some of it is plain guesswork.

    4A Brackets: East

    Garner (Triangle Alliance #1)
    Fuquay-Varina? (Tri-Seven #2)

    JH Rose (Big East #1)
    Millbrook? (Cap Six #2)

    Green Hope (Tri-Seven #1)
    Athens Drive (Triangle Alliance #2)

    Wakefield (Cap Six #1)
    New Bern (Big East #2)

    Lumberton (Two Rivers #1)
    Richmond County (Midsoutheastern #3)

    Hoggard (Mideastern #1)
    Pinecrest (Midsoutheastern #2)

    Scotland (Midsoutheastern #1)
    Pine Forest (Two Rivers #3)

    Ashley (Mideastern #2)
    Purnell Swett (Two Rivers #2)

    4A Brackets: West
    North Forsyth (Metro #1)
    Indy/Hopewell (Meca8 #3)

    Chapel Hill (PAC 6 #1)
    West Forsyth (CPC #2)

    South Rowan (CPC #1)
    East Forsyth/Mt. Tabor (Metro #3)

    Person (PAC 6 #2)
    NW Guilford (Metro #2)

    Providence (SW4A #1)
    AC Reynolds/South Caldwell (NW4A #3)

    Alexander Central (NW4A #1)
    Indy/Hopewell (Meca8 #2)

    North Meck (Meca8 #1)
    East Meck (SW4A #3)

    South Meck (SW4A #2)
    South Caldwell/AC Reynolds (NW4A #2)

(I just can't find enough information to do the 1A-3A brackets and have any shot at being right)

    Actually...

In the NW4A any team that wins the conference tournament becomes #2 seed regardless of their regular season record.

    NCBBallFan,
Regarding the Metro 4-A Conference.... East Forsyth and NW Guilford are tied for 2nd.

    North Forsyth 15-7 (8-2)
    East Forsyth 14-8 (6-4)
    NW Guilford 10-11 (6-4)

Under the tie breaker format, East currently has the No. 2 seed and NW the No. 3 seed for the play-offs but if NW Guilford or any other team besides North Forsyth and East wins the Metro Conf. tourney, then East and NW will flip-flop. Mt. Tabor is definitely out of the picture.

Speculating on 3-A... As far as the Piedmont-Triad goes, they have no conference tourney and the regular season will end Thursday, but Glenn has obviously clinched it with SW Guilford and Rockingham still grabbing for 2nd.

    (current conference records) [games left]
    Glenn 14-0 [2]
    SW Guilford 10-3 [3]
    Rockingham 10-4 (i think) [2]

It looks like possibly the #2 seed will play Orange and the #3 will play Clayton.

Thanks Caroliner ... A lot of these conferences are still a mess this week trying to figure out.

Have you heard much about Rockingham County this season????

Everyone has been quiet about them and it looks like they are playing good baseball.

Rockingham is having a quietly good season. Their ace is obviously Stultz who, when I saw him early in the season, was not himself, but as recently as last week, looked solid. I am not sure of their current number of wins but I know they have lost 4 games at last check. With the Piedmont-Triad at the bottom of the conference priority list this year in 3-A, the #2 and #3 seeds will both have tough openers, but could possibly make a little run if the stars get lined up.

    The CougArs..

have a solid tradition dating back to the mid 1990's with some off years as they won the #A State Champ in 96! Formerly their pitching coach in 99 we upset the #1 team in the state 3A (K-Glenn) in a great duel that win 9 innings. Don t know what they got as well but Coach Gammon is a good man and hard worker as their head coach I know him well and wish his team the best !!!

    CPC standings

North Davidson finished in a 3 way tie with West Forsyth & South Rowan. North is the #1 seed, SR #2, WF #3 going into the conference tournament.

The tournament bids will be determined by how the 3 finish in the conference tournament. Tonight North plays Davie Co (who upset Reynolds last evening) & West & South square off. Stay tuned.

    Revised NW4A

OK, it looks like I dished out some bad info earlier. South Caldwell won the conference tournament and moves up to the #2 team for states. Alexander stays at #1, and AC Reynolds slides to #3.

Green Hope vs. Apex - Tri-7 Championship Game

Green Hope beat Lee County in 8 innings to advance to the conference championship game on Friday night against Apex who beat Fuquay Varina in 10 innings. The win by Apex qualifies the Cougars for the state playoffs as the #2 seed in the Tri-7.

Friday night’s game should be a lot of fun. When Green Hope and Apex get together, you can always count on a very close emotional game. Should be a huge crowd on hand and a fun environment for the two schools that are only three miles apart.

West Forsyth and North Davidson play Thursday to determine #1 and #2 seed for states. The winner has #1 and plays at home vs NWG. The loser plays at Chapel Hill as the #2 seed.
South Rowan lost 5 or 6 straight including a 12-2 lose to WF in conference tourney, and they will not be in the playoffs
