This is a very exciting time for the Brevard program. The administration demonstrated its commitment to the baseball program by hiring Coach Matt McCay; And Coach McCay was able to reward that commitment by adding a very talented staff to the program.

This is a perfect fit for talented players wanting to put their mark immediately to a college program. Looking at the players Matt is bringing in, it's apparent that he is hitting the ground running. With the contacts that he and Coach Allingham have developed with the HS and showcase coaches throughout the state, I suspect this program will soon develop into one of the best.

Plus, you will not find many schools in our state that are more beautiful.

I gave an A to the administration for its commitment to baseball...and an A+ for recruiting a quality staff. Brevard has always been a "baseball" school, but with their recent step into the D2 level and in the ultra competitive SAC conference...they've demonstrated they are serious about competing.

I expect great things in the coming years for Brevard. They are putting their pieces together and are going after the best talent aggressively.
