Bat moving v. Bat not moving

Correctamundo betterbatter. My experience with this situation leans toward the "dead ball" call. I guess, by mr. ump calling it dead, it allows both sides another chance. I have seen the ump call a batter out when it appeared that no intent was made by the batter to drop the bat in the balls direction. Yep, judgement call. Anyway, your "moving/not moving" bat is the key. Tough call for the ump.

As long as it is determined by blue that the batter did not intenionally drop the bat to interfere with the ball or the catcher, then it is a live ball. Ball rolling or not doesn't make a difference.
