Is there sufficient bleachers or do you need to bring a chair?

The bleachers are pretty big but you might not want ot sit in them because their supporters are rude(the younger ones - the parents are actually pretty nice).

There is room on the both sides of the dugouts for chairs but get there early if you want a spot. The facility is actually very nice. Don't think about sneaking in from the East side of the parking lot, they have security watching the parking lot.

    Come on!

You do want to bring a chair there is one set of bleachers but they fill up early. Our young "fans" do get loud at times but I dont think they are that rude. Our AD has kept them on a short leash the last few games.
Come on out and if you want please take the time to say hey to me Im Ray and coach 1st

    Butler Fans...

The only facility thing at Butler that is a bit frustrating is their 235 foot fence... As for the fans, we have played Butler three thimes this year, last night being the biggest game yet. There is a lot of hype and excitement in the air. Yes, their students and younger fans get into in, they say some things, but really it is all part of the game. I had no problem with the way our kids were treated at Butler's place last night. Whether you are in the stands or on the sidelines, you are going to hear the kids, so take your pick. They came to our field and did the same thing. They are students and are rooting for their team. The basically say things like "sit down" or "strike three" after a strike out (which their pitchers are capable of a lot of in a game). If any of you out there expect your kids to play in College, especially Division I, get used to this. Ask any kid in the SEC about those rivalries. University Lousisiana Lafayette has some of the loudest, rudest fans, but it is a lot of fun to be a part of too! For the kids to have gotten this far and matter so much that the opposing team's fans are all over them is a compliment. That is exactly what our players are told, leave it on the field. If you want to talk about anything, best do it with the bat and the glove and our kids respect that for the most part, not much gets to them.

I love the excietment, I love the young people getting into more than the parents, it is healthy to see the sport alive. I'd much rather play in an atmosphere like this than one of a tennis match. Its exciting! Good luck to your team and to Butler as well and I hope that you find the game as entertaining and fun as we do.

Thanks for the support. I agree about the 233 ft fences but as luck would have it we are havung a parents meeting about re building the softball complex to match our baseball field with twice the bleacher space and a brick backstop with netting ans 210 ft fence. So if we get the finacial support of the booster club and area busineses next year we could have a great field. But Im not holding my breath :imagestor
