    haha Byrnes got beat by Gaffney tonight on TV. so much for the #2 in the country. Independence beat them in a scrimmage this summer too. Have fun in Clempson Willie Korn

    How about Byrnes bringing Sledge Hammers with them. They showed them bringing them in on TV, and somebody at the game said they took them and beat on Gaffney's Indian at mid-field before the game. They also said that Byrnes walked out and jumped up and down on the Indian as well. Coach Bentley must have thought they were 10 feet tall and bullet proof.

    Well who does Independence play that is worth a flip? Do people actually think they could survive that kind of a winning streak down in S.C.? Get real people!

    I wish NC had the talent they have down there in S.C. but it's just not there. I just hope we can win the Shrine Bowl this year.

    South Carolina football doesn't even have close to as many teams as NC does, and Independence would have won anywhere. This is the first year that they aren't beating the living crap out of people. Only games I can think of being close are Providence last year and Richmond Senior in 2003 in the playoffs when they won 19-18. Besides this year they are beating the life out of teams. Joe Cox's senior year, I think the closest anyone got to them was 34 points. And Leak was/is one of the best High School QB's. On SI.com he is ranked as one of the 10 best high school athletes in any sport over the last 10 years. Ever since they let the players from the teams that are in the state title games in NC go to the Shrine Bowl NC has won every time (or at least I'm pretty sure they have).

    Quantity doesn't equal quality is what I am saying. There are more quality teams in SC than NC. Surely Independence would have lost before now if they were in SC is all I am saying....

    By the way that Nicks kid from Independence is the one bright spot at UNC this season. I sure hope we get a coach and OC that can max his full potential.

    If you can get Cutcliffe at UNC I bet Barnes from Indy ends up going there instead of South Carolina.

    Not more of this NC / SC crap. What difference does it make who is better?? It can't be proven, so it's just talk anyway. Stick to the games that count.
