    anyone have some details on that mt. pleasant/statesville game. i left in i think the 4th inning and it was 3-1 statesville. how did mount come back on them? lefthander for statesville looked like a pretty good pitcher

    just a little FYI: the final four teams are all from cabarrus county

    i don't have any notes, so i'll go from memory. yes, the lefty for statesville threw really well. he lost his control a bit in the bottom of the 5th. between walks and timely hits, mount put 4 on the board in that bottom half. a stamper(sp?) triple was the key hit. stamper then led off the 6th with another triple, and after more control problems, a reliever was brought in. the big blow in the 6th was a bases clearing triple by taylor.

    something like that.

    you must have been hiding. i was keepin an eye out for ya.

    i don't remember the whole schedule, other than JMR vs KANN at 10am and MP vs CC at 1pm. both tomorrow at fieldcrest cannon. winners to face off saturday but i don't remember the time. i think there are some consolation games tomorrow night, but i don't recall the schedule.

    First semifinal score from Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium today:
    Kannapolis-1 over JM Robinson-0

    Congratulations kannapbaseball,,,, so far your pitching has been as good as advertised. In your 1st two games of this tournament, both Kannapolis starting pitchers have combined to throw 13 innings, while allowing only 5 hits and "0" (thats right "zero") runs. (Note: a Kann reliever allowed Concord's only run in yesterday's 9-1 Kann win).

    Someone said that today's Kannapolis pitcher Andrew Mead has now pitched 4 consecutive shutouts and only allowed 2 runs (only 1 earned) in his 5 games (34 innings) pitched this year. :applause:

    Btw, JMR's pitcher (Mcateer) also pitched well today in taking the tough loss.

    Mt.Pleasant now faces Central Cabarrus to determine who meets Kannapolis for the championship tomorrow at 1pm.

    Mt.Pleasant-8 over Central Cabarrus-5 (I missed this one)


    Championship Saturday has Mt.Pleasant vs. Kannapolis scheduled for 1pm...

    Did I miss something? Did Central Cabbarus beat Pisgah or did they have to leave? Didn't see a score or details.

    Mudcat, yes Central Cabarrus beat Pisgah 11-0 in 5 innings in the 2nd round.
