    WEGO-AM 1410 in Concord will have its annual high school football preseason preview show on Saturday July 30 at 9 a.m. The hour-long preview will feature interviews with each of the county coaches. The first high school game of the week on WEGO will be Aug. 19, J.M. Robinson versus Mt. Pleasant. Each game of the week will feature an hour and half pregame show with interviews with each county coach included.

    Shameless self promotion

    Just put the finishing touches on the Cabarrus County High School football preview. It features each coach in Cabarrus County. The program starts at 9 a.m. and wraps up at 10:30a.m. 1410 WEGO-AM in Concord.

    Hey Mark.
    What kind of trouble and/or is it to have this on the internet.
    WEGO has for awhile had ties with local sports .But you know the signal dont get out all that far. I'm sure alot of people would listen. I know i would.

    Was Kannapolis on there? I missed the first 20 minutes. I know they use to be included.

    I heard Coach Helms of NWC state the Trojan JVs won the conference last year. Strange when you consider that Kannapolis' JVs went undefeated!

    Sorry you missed. Coach Massey was first. As far Internet nothing yet, can't say much yet, but we are working on it. I know there are several people who are interested.

    K63,,, surely Coach Helms (NW) didn't say the NW JV's won the conference last year,,, is it possible you misunderstood him?

    Because if he did say it, I would have to ask simply "whats the matter with that guy?" First he drops Kannapolis from his schedule because he (in his own words) wants to find someone easier, and now he's exxaggerating his own team's records saying they won championships that they didn't???

    Anybody who went to the JV games last year knows that the Ktown JV's were undefeated last year,,, and that includes a 34-0 a$$-whooping over the NW JV's on Oct.14, 2004...

    I've got most of the show on tape except for the Kannapolis part which I missed. Mark is trying to help me out on that.

    As soon as I find the tape, I'm going to play the NWC part again. I thought what I heard the first time was what I stated above. But let me listen to it again, and I will report back.

    I think he did say that

    But I believe what he meant to say was two years ago, when the Lockard kid was the quarterback. I think they may have won that year. Northwest could be pretty good and it does help to replace A.L. Brown with West Iredell and to get rid of that psyhological barrier that the Wonders present (not mention they are really good almost every year).

    It looks like we will broadcast our game of week on the Internet this year on WEGO. When all the details are finalized I will post details for anyone who is interested.
