    OK, here goes. Lumberton is a very interesting team. They don't have a great hitting team but has real good team speed and uses it to generate runs. What they do have is a pitching staff to die for. Senior Alex Rogers was all state last year and is 5-0 this year. Lefty junior Mack Read is 4-0 and is posting just stupid strikeout numbers. Senior Kevin Branch is 3-1 with the only loss 3-1 at Scotland County. The defense is very solid all around.
    Offensively, the team has very little power but can kill people with small ball. Catcher Matt Evans and Branch are the 3-4 hitters but leadoff guy Brandon Bryant has power and speed. Brad Evans and Justin Emmanuel are having real good seasons at the plate. Other tough outs are Mark Mitchell, Dexter Locklear, and Jaime Jackson.
    Coach is Paul Hodge who has been at Lumberton at least ten years. Program has really blossomed in the last few years.

    competes in the ALWAYS strong Waccamaw 2a/3a I believe coached by Ricky Young former player of mine! They KNOW how to play and they play hard...very competitive and sporting another good receord this year! :)

    Info should be out this week....First issue last week...still waiting word on places to purchase. I'll post it soon as I get this info....
    Yes It should be a super magazine. I do know this issue is strictly ladies sports.
