The Cap-7 is looking to be a pretty tough conference this year. Leeseville still has the offense that can put up some runs, but the pitching (after steinbuglar) will be questionable. Sanderson returns a very good team after losing only Alex Davis and Kevin Elkins as starters. They should be in the running all year long. Millbrook is returning 11 Seniors this year with the major core of their pitching staff being back. Also they have a new energetic coach in Brad Shrock. Look to see them competing after a very disappointing 07 season. Wakefield brings back Jeremy Dowdy, Brian Yeung, Brice Hursey, Trevor Shock and much more young talent. Look to see them also competing. Once again pitching will be the question there. I don't know enough to make a strong comment on WF-R but they do have Mac Williamson (Wake Forest) and '09 Taylor Gleason coming back. Broughton, although losing Josh Sugg(transfer to millbrook), Will be another talented squad for Jim Comis. With Michael Zeblo Jon Redd and TJ Roebock anchoring their offense look for them to compete. Also I am not very informed on Enloe either, therefor I will not make a comment on them. Look for the Cap-7 to be a tough one. I'm not going to make any predictions yet, but if the Summer Scholastic league means anything to you, look for it to come down to the wire for the winner of this conference.

I believe it will come down between Sanderson and Millbrook. But in the end I believe Sanderson will win, because of all of the good Junior talent they have and their pitching is very good also

    No Bias

I swear there is no bias in this statement but i belive it will be between broughton and sanderson... both teams know each other well...shs has some stellar junior tallent and so does broughton but i belive the broughton senior lead pitching staff returning three all confrence arms will come out on top

Broughton and Sanderson will both be very good teams....caps-who is the third arm for broughton, ive got TJ and Redd...anyway, i wouldnt leave millbrook and leesville out of this. Millbrook will be the sleeper of the conference and leesville can just flat out hit...my prediction-
    1.Sanderson
    2.Broughton
    3.Millbrook
    4.Leesville
    5.Wake Forest
    6.Wakefield
    7.Enloe

    Main thing is...

The only step up i see with Sanderson is their lineup, Sanderson lost one player from their offensive lineup and that was their nine hole batter, Kevin Elkins. With the same lineup and a new addition at second base (transfer from south granville), this team should be a very solid offensive and defensive team. Pitching looks good also as they have seniors Mark Peterson and Eric Brommer, juniors Chalres Wolfe, Max Gagnon and may see a few innings from junior SS Kyle Wigmore. Broughton lost a few key offensive players last year (Matt Zeblo, Wojo and even Graham Ferg.) It will be a close race, but Sanderson has a very solid nine batters that will do more than enough to win games.

I think people are underestimating the leesville offensive attack. Anyone in that line-up you have to pitch extremely carefully b/c they just have so many weapons on the offensive side of the baseball. I believe Leesville along with (as much as I hate to say this) Sanderson will be the teams to beat this year. Also Broughton is not the only team bringing back all their Conference arms. Millbrook is too between Smith Faulkner and Harris.

I dont know so much about Leesville being a good team yea they might have a few good hitters with Steinbuglar and Brown but after that they don't have many threats, and you can't win if you dont have any pitching. That's why I think it will be between Millbrook and Sanderson
