    Awesome performance!

Congrats to you all for an outstanding run at the ASA Nationals. Way to represent the great state of North Carolina and show the rest of the nation the strong level of talent that our area is producing.

Great job putting it all together Rick.

    College/High School Players

Congrats, it was clever to get soon to be college sophomores to play for you. I'm surprised you didn't win it all with the talent you had. The other team had to have had the same caliber players to beat you guys. One of a kind. Good luck next year!

State and National championships do not frown upon participation of college players during these events. The only criteria must be met is tht of age. Whether participants were high school or college players matters not - as it would be a thrill for all to participate at this level. The players that have completed their first year of college ball were already at a talent level to compete at this level prior to entering college. Let's not diminish the contributions of any of these players. Each and every one of them should be proud of what they achieved and how they represented the state of North Carolina! :fan_wave2:

I wasn't saying that at all. The other team must have been just as clever to beat a team like the Cardinals.

That's why we still play 18A

I have coaches from coast to coast ask us why we don't play Gold. This is the reason. I get attached to my players and want them to play for me as long as they can. I'll do the same again next year, with 4 college kids returning to help us out.
The Central FL Sting had some college kids playing as well, as did many of the teams participating. We don't go to Nationals to "showcase". We go to win. I would take Team USA if they were age eligible! (LOL)
The kids, all of them did very well. I'm proud of their achievement. The only other team to finish higher was Ray's 2006 championship.
