Carolina Cardinals Expanding into 12U-14U-16U

    The Carolina Cardinals organization headed up by Ray Chandler is expanding into the younger age groups. We are starting a 12U, 14U, and a 16U team, under the Carolina Cardinals umbrella. Most play will be ASA when possible. There will be tryouts for the 12U team in early Sept. The 16U is also in need of a dominate pitcher and some position players. Please contact:

    I have already had quite a few calls and emails about where the 12U team will be based. We will be out of Clemmons and will practice at West Forsyth High School. This winter, we will practice indoors at a private indoor facility which is also in Clemmons.

    We have players who live more than an hour and a half away saying they are coming to the tryouts. Clemmons/West Forsyth HS is easy to get to as it the school is about 5 minutes from exit 184 on I-40 and about one minute from the Lewisville-Clemmons/Tanglewood exit on Hwy 421.

    Carolina Cardinals 12U Tryouts Are Scheduled!

    Open Tryouts for the Carolina Cardinals 12U have been scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 16 at 10 AM and Sunday Sept. 17 at 3 PM.

    Tryouts will be held at Wilson Park softball field located in Clemmons, NC. This new complex is next to Southwest Forsyth Little League in Clemmons.

    Directions- From 1-40 East exit 184 turn left on Lewisville-Clemmons Rd. back across I-40, from I-40 West, turn right on Lewisville-Clemmons Rd.

    Go approx. 1 mile and cross Hwy 158. (becomes Middlebrook Dr.) continue 1.6 miles and turn right on Idols Rd. Go 0.2 miles and turn left on Dillon Industrial Dr.(Southwest Forsyth LL) Look for signs to Wilson Park Complex

    We are in the process of talking to and screening several coaches who have expressed interest. We take these selections seriously so we are taking our time. The Cardinal organization is just as selective when it comes to coaches as we are for our players. We have had a great reputation for 18 years, and we don't want to do anything that would compromise Ray Chandler's years of hard work or creditability.

    An announcement for the 16U should be made in the near future, but we aren't quite as far along with the 14U. However, we do have a couple very qualified and impressive coaches who we are discussing our expectations and goals with now.
