I am the wife of tarheels72, and I don't get on here and post because most of the time it just causes trouble. However, in your case, I believe I will make a response. Our parents did get very upset in the way that the game was called and in response to the way your parents were behaving. I am very surprised you can sit and say you never heard any of this going on considering the pitchers dad sat right at your dugout and yelled most of the game until his daughter pitched and then stood behind home plate. I will quote you exactly what he said when my daughter (who is the "little" shortstop) hit the line drive to right field to load the bases with two outs in the last inning "SHE AINT NOTHING, SHE AINT NOTHING"!!. I will be very honest, I am actually surprised that I did not get kicked out after that because I stood on the top bleacher and looked right at him and yelled back "OH, She is something!! That 4'2" girl just got a hit off your kid". He never would look over at me, which was probably in his best interest! Should I have responded at all to such an idiotic statement, probably not, because her composure is a lot better than mine, but that is an example of how your parents were acting. Funny, how we are not the only team that is making remarks of this. You remember her right?? Her name is Abby Settlemyre and ya'll made the comment to her that she should come to Florida and play. Too bad, there is no way I would let her play on a team that would talk about kids like that. All that really matters is that our girls had a great week hanging out together and playing softball so I will make no further comments on this tournament because it is not worth my time! Hope to see you around next year! Mrs. tarheel (Sara)
