I started a thread back last week on 16U tryouts. I tried to change the title on the thread but the system does not allow that. I wanted to put future info under the right heading.
As stated earlier the 16U will have tryouts at USC Upstate campus on Saturday September 18th at 1pm. The 18's seem to be full already but we will post info as soon as we have it available.
The 14's and 12's will have their tryouts sometime in October. :xyzthumbs

Please contact Chris Hawkins at 864 503-5171 and leave a message if you will be attending Sept. 18th at 1:00. This is the 16-U tryouts. We look to fill all positions. If you have a question of the 50 mile radius that Coach Hawkins is allowed to coach in, please leave your city name and we will get back in contact with you :xyzthumbs

Just wanted to post a reminder that tryouts start at 1pm on Saturday Sept 18th. At Cyrill Field on USC Upstate campus. Be there by 12:30 so you can check in and be ready to hit the field at exactly 1pm. This is the 16U team only this coming Saturday. :xyzthumbs

Carolina Pride Tryouts for the 16-U team

The tryouts for the 16-U team will be Sunday Sept. 19th at 2:00 instead of Saturday Sept. 18th. This will hopefully allow the Hurricane to pass through. Please contact 828 273-7228 if you have any questions. :xyzthumbs

Good luck Enka Jet on your new venture! Appears U have a good plan and some quality coaches to help build a strong organization. If U are going to run the whole organization, I admire U. It is tough and once all your kids are gone, it is tougher to find the time and still see your kid at college level. That said, I never get tired of seeing the thrill on the girls faces when they sign their letter of intent to play college ball and am committed to seing at least my 14U group through 18U. Best to U Enka!!! Hope to see U this fall in Plantation and all next summer. LBLUES  :applause:

Thanks LBlues, my plans are to help in any capacity that the organization needs me. Right now I am helping Coach Hawkins on the 16U. I don't want to get into an admiration thread here or response but I have nothing but high accolades for your organization as well as the cardinals. I have watched both organizations for the past few years and have wanted to be involved with an organization that is run the same way. I find that the leadership and the quality of the coaches that are involved with the Carolina Pride is along those same lines. I knew that I couldn't move down to your area but Spartanburg is in my backyard and it just seemed a Godsend when it all started to take shape. There are some quality players in the mountains of north carolina and the foothills and combined with the players in the upstate of South Carolina then it should be a great experience not only for me but especially for the players. Yes, my DD is in college and its great but I really do enjoy being able to spend the time and energy with the younger players wanting to make it to the next level. I guess I had better watch what I say about college or CFBall will move us to the next level forum... We will start playing in late May or Early June of next year. Good luck to you and your players and see you on the ballfield. :applause:

One of the great things about this board are the quality members that post in this forum. If you guys/gals recommend a particular organization, it helps everyone in their decision process.

Most of you that know me realize I know next to nothing about the softball teams, but I want to share a story with you. I was attending a baseball showcase this weekend and met a parent of one of the players. As we were talking, he told me of his DD and her interest in softball. I started asking questions...how old?..what school?....etc. when he volunteered that the travel team they selected was based mostly on the information he received in here.

You just never know who is reading.

    Thanks for sharing. :applause:

some of the most dedicated, experienced, caring and committed coaches/admin folks in NC/SC softball from all levels of play are part of TBR Softball. always nice to see folks helping folks, especially in softball.
