Carolina Sports Performance Center: Alan Tyson

Per rumor:

Alan Tyson has left the Carolina Sports Performance Center at CMC to take an administrative position with the Miller Clinic.

They still have their pyleometrics and core strength programs in place but will need some one new to handle their pitchers when evaluating and changing mechanics.

 

I hope this is not true. Why would someone of his calibre want to take an administrative position? Alan Tyson is the best in the region at what he does....and seemed to love it.

I'll ask him to come on the board and explain

 

Rumor is true...Alan Tyson has taken an administrative position with Miller Orthopaedic Clinic, Inc. @ the Medical Center Plaza. I do not have a specific title for Alan at this time at Miller and Alan is not yet set up in an office at Miller but can be reached by a pager number, Chief, if you would like to contact him.

With the backing of the Miller Clinic, Alan is in the process of forming an exceptional, sports therapy center for area athletes. Public release of information about it is a few weeks away. Once the center is established, Alan will continue his therapeutic work directly with athletes in addition to his administrative duties there.

 

Will he still have his "Pitching for Success" camps?

 

I haven't asked him, specifically, Chief; but, knowing how near-and-dear that is to him, I have to believe that he'll still conduct that program out of the new facility.

 

Whew....good news

 

I talked to Alan several weeks ago and he is real excited about what is taking place with Miller Ortho. He is still going to be involved first hand in the field and not just a "paper pusher" as I call them. The Miller office in Pineville has moved to a new facility behind the Bank of America on the corner of Johnston Road and Ballantyne Commons. Alan will be working there, but also with the University area and uptown from what I understand. Alan and Miller do have plans for a sports performance similar, but probably even better than what Alan was over on East Blvd. I can't really tell you specifics because I am not sure I am suppose to at this time and I don't know all the specifics so should I get something wrong it would not be good. I do know it should be up in running sometime possibly in October or November.... but look forward to more info in the near future. Oh, the Miller office in Ballantyne opened on August 18th!
