Cary makes the playoffs

    For the first time in years (I can't remember the last time, probably mid 90's)... Cary made the playoffs.

    Cary was 9-14, I think, heading into the Conference tourney. Cary won 3 games and was named 2006 Tri 7 Conf. Tourney Champs. Because of that, they will be playing @ Clayton in the 1st Rd of the playoffs.

    Congrats to the Imps. Man, I wish we had a conference tourney when I was in school there.

    BTW, the Tri-7 is a very very tough conference: Apex, Lee County, Green Hope, Cary, Fuquay, Middle Creek, and Athens Drive.

    Wow....congratulations to Cary. What a way to make the playoffs...but the hottest teams should be in it

    You got that right Braves. CHS called a players only meeting a few weeks ago and it turned their season around. The intensity has been much higher and the guys really started to believe in themselves.

    I'd keep an eye on Cary in the playoffs. Great senior leadership and they are very hot right now.

    How good is Clayton?

    the bracket on NCHSAA website is confusing me. the have the entired western bracket filled out correctly. but the eastern half is not fill out.

    they have the GNR #1 playing apex

    then the cap 7#1 playing the GNR #2.

    can someone please clarify who is representing the conf in these games b/c this is apparently not right?? thanks

    Don't think anyone else made it in. Since Cary won the tourney, it bumped out teams like Apex and Green Hope. **Not positive.


    There's some talk that Cary's players have been told they will not be playing Clayton. Who know's?

    but suppoedly the brackets will be complelty filled out tonight on the website.
