Wow, AC over Hickory 13-2; can we get any info on the game. I thought with Boyd and a couple others Hickory would give AC a better game than that. I know AC lost alot of players from the last couple of years, and the team now only has a couple of guys who are experienced players, but it sounds like they are doing pretty well. Any information about the team.

AC has really got the bats cranked these past few games. Travis Lackey, Justin Russell, Jordan Clary, and Dustin Harrington have all hit home runs in the tourney. Harrington is 5-6 thus far as well. In the 13-2 win against Hickory, AC had 13 hits. Harrington started on the mound with Cameron Kerley coming in relief. The only runs scored by Hickory were by Isaac Harrow. He hit a solo homer in the first inning and a triple in the 6th. He scored the second run on an error. The Cougars face Mooresville today in the championship game.

The Blue Devils hung with the Cougars until the 5th inning when AC finally got to Mooresvilles' West and then poured it on. Several nice defensive plays in the outfield for the Blue Devils kept them out of early trouble in this game. But AC is very solid at the plate, on the hill, in the field and in the dugout. A second place for Mooresville is a good showing in this tournament although the loss tonight was hard to take. Corey Johnson and Justin Ogle made the All-Tournament team for the Blue Devils.

Congrats to the AC Cougars on a well-played tournament. It really says something about these guys to bring home the trophy 3 years in a row:trophy: . Keep up the good work and good luck the rest of conference play.
