Congrats to Chad Rothlin and his commitment to UNC-C. A great pitcher with tremendous control of the zone. I hope to see him 2 ways, as he is a clutch hitter and the ball just seems to jump off his bat.

Looks like mom and dad will put some miles on the car and enjoy every minute of it between Clemson and Charlotte.

Congrats once again to Chad and all the Rothlin family.

    Congrats Chad!

Great family and a great young man. UNCC got a heck of a player in Chad Rothlin. I look forward to following his career as well as his older brother Trent at Clemson.

It's a GOOD day for UNCC

Congratulations Chad. Chad just pounds the strike zone, great clutch hitter and just continues to get better.

As a Charlotte native I am pleased to see the 49ers baseball program begin to recruit some of the states top talent. They have been a solid program for some time now and the success of last years Conference title and regional win over NCSU along with the new stadium they look to become even better. Landing talent such as Rothlin, Pilkington, Smith 07, Blackwell and I also heard they signed the Rowland kid from Rowan Co. Congratulations to Chad

    Congrats Chad and Family

Congrats to Chad and his family for putting two fine young men into two fine baseball programs (Clemson and UNC-C)!!

Selfishly though I wish that "C" at the end was a "G"!!!

Congratulations to Chad. He has been a very steady performer while I have been watching. He's got one of those sneaky fast bats.

    Thanks everybody

Chad is very excited about becoming a 49er. He wanted to play baseball where he was going to get better, play alot, and have a legitimate chance of going to the World Series. The coaches have been great to him and it doesn't hurt that Charlotte is only an hour from home. He wasn't going to get too far away.

In 2009 (Chad's freshman year) Charlotte will travel to Clemson to play them in a pre-season game. The following year when Chad is a sophmore and Trent a junior, Clemson will return the favor and travel to Charlotte. We will have to get half Tiger - half Niner shirts made up or something. That day will be quite special if they get to pitch against each other.
