    3A Results:

    After dropping the first game to West Brunswick, West Rowan came back behind a great effort by Wade Moore to even the series 1-1. The final score of Game #2 was 3-2.

    No details are available yet except the score, but West Brunswick topped West Rowan in the deciding game of the series by a score of 8-3.

    Congrats to West Brunswick

    FIVE COUNTY STADIUM, ZEBULON

    1:00pm - Independence 1 vs. JH Rose 0 (Game 2)
    4:00pm - JH Rose 11 vs. Independence 5 (Game 3)

    JH Rose is the NC High School Baseball 4A Champions. Congratulations to both JH Rose and Independence for a great 2004 season!!!

    I second Sabrefans congratulations to Independence and Greenville Rose. Both had great seasons. Living in the North Charlotte area it was fun to follow the Independence run this season (not so much to have to play them twice during the regular season).

    You guys might not have come home with the gold- but gosh what a GREAT SEASON! Your buddies in the MECA 8 are awfully proud to be associated with you. The Patriots represented our conference and the entire Charlotte area with great class and tremendous talent. A fine program with some great coaching and solid players. HATS OFF TO YOU!!

    Speaking as a parent I know the boys appreciated all the support they received from the Charlotte area teams. We may not have won the Championship but I feel we showed them some talent and sportsmanship that is here in the Charlotte area. Thanks for your support and we look forward to playing many of you next year.
