Changes from the weather....

Its March 1st, the season is upon us ......

..... and as sure as shootin, there will be games move/cancelled/rescheduled because it's too cold, or fields are unplayable or underwater or something.

:spacecraf Just so people don't "travel" too far just to visit the local McDonalds, post any cancellations/reschedules here AS SOON AS YOU can.

:dead-hors If a game is questionable, post that too. It may be a rumor, but it may keep someone from driving too far for "nothing".

:allhail Even if it's just a rumor for now, label it as such and let the driver/space-craft operator check with one of the participating schools to see if it's still on the schedule.

:hmmmm: This could effect my personal "game of the day" .... North vs South (Book 4).

To the best of my knowledge, Vance at Providence has been cancelled for today. Potential reschedule for tomorrow, 3/2. :banginghe

 

Playing at Providence during the early season is chancy ...

...but one of the worst field for drainage I've seen recently is Butler. If they get an inch of rain, it may be April before that field is ready.

Well, I'm exaggerating on that one just a bit, but it's not a good field for early in the season. Butler's first two games are scheduled to be at Indy (today) and at North Meck (tomorrow). Maybe their field will be good by the end of the week.

 

The E. Meck @ W. Meck game is still on as far as I know.

Wests field drains really well..BUT the AD at West doesn't like to ruin that field if he doesn't have to, especially for a non-conference game. Their game @ Hunter Huss last night was cancelled, but as far as I know today's game is a go.

I'm going to either ride up there around 3 or 4 to find out, or I'll just have one of the players tell me. Many people probably aren't going to that game, but I'll let you guys know whats up ASAP

Butler at Indy today (JV and Varsity) has been cancelled. Looking to reschedule to this Thursday.

Tomorrow....Butler at North Meck not been decided. Varsity will have a better chance of playing at North than the JV will at Butler.

And yes.....Butlers field turns into a swamp with just the thought of rain!! Improvements in the backstop recently will improve the drainage there but the infield still will need a couple of sunny days to recover.

Todays game with the Person Rockets traveling to Northern Vance has been moved hopefully to tommorrow if field conditions will let us play!!
