    I went back to our AD to clarify about 5A. He said in 4 years, with the next conference realignment, they are pretty sure they will expand to a 5a classification. By that time there will be over 400 high schools in North Carolina.

    Did he say if that would mean abandonment of the split playoffs? Or would we just have 10 state champions... :stirthepot:

    He did not say, but I would think it would eliminate the split system. As I stated in my earlier post, The coaches association are the ones that came up with that idea and passed it. I would imagine that it probably would come to another vote. I will try and get as much insight from my AD as I can and post what I find out.
