Charlotte has started the Legion season off with two wins against Kings Mountain Post 155. Wednesday night Post 262 defeated Kings Mountain 14-5. Offensively 262 was led by Leighton Daniels (East Meck) who was 4-6, Johnathan Stutts (Washington and Lee) who was 5-5 with a 2-run HR, Joe Hager (Myers Park) who was 2-4 with a HR, Truett Langdon (Country Day) who was 2-3 with a HR, and Noel Baker (Myers Park) who was 2-2. Austin Campbell (Pfeiffer) earned the victory.
Tonight, 262 defeated 155 in a rain/storm shortened game. Jonathan Crews (East Meck) earned the victory going all 6 innings. Johnathan Stutts stayed hot by going 3-3 (1B, 2b, 3B). That makes him 8-8 for the season. Leighton Daniels was 2-3 and Olen Little (East Meck) was 1-2.

    Pineville - 2

    WP: Olen Little (2-0) - 8 Innings; 4 Hits, 7Ks, 0 BB

    LP: Ryan McClintock

    C: Leighton Daniels - 2-5, 2 RBI

Another outstanding pitching performance by Olen Little. That's two straight starts he has pitched 8 innings and thrown just around 100 pitches in each outing.
Charlotte travels to Huntersville on Monday followed by three consecutive road games. Next week will really test this team.
