With regard to your comment: "Just wondering ......how does that affect Bard specifically and the other team members / opponents in general?"

You will get a lot of posters that can and will give their opinion to your above question but, I think that it can ONLY truly be answered by a player himself and I don't think that there are probably a lot of players that post here but then again, maybe the majority of the posters can speak for their players?!?

We did not realize it was a judge and jury issue just a friendly, competitive game of baseball?!? What's your story?!?

First- It is true that many players (in Charlotte) don't post due to their coach's decision to discourage them from doing that...until after the season, but they sure do READ the posts

Second- some of our (posters) who could better answer this question....Bard and teammates...Woodard and teammates are members and do post

Third- fortunately, we have many members who were players and now are coaches, scouts and parents....whom have experienced the pressure of playing in front of scouts and could give excellent feedback

I encourage anyone with a thoughtful, informative post, please do so

Kyle Shelton's injury update from game last night in Shelby as quoted by a family member:

"Just wanted everyone to know that Kyle is feeling much better this morning. He is at Alan Tyson's as I write you this having Tyson check out Kyle's back, and going to do some stimulation on it, ice it, and get him stretched out. He is a little sore, but he is going to be fine! Just thought I would let everyone know because many of you were so concerned last night. It is comforting to know we have such a great and loving baseball family."

Braves there wer many more than two errors by south meck there were three (E-6)errors on one play alone, then another (E-6) on the pickoff play that went 1-5-6-2 with an overthrow from the 6, there was an (E-5) so that's at least five errors. But that's part of baseball and it's only a game. Having that said if people were looking for a pitching match-up they got what they wanted. Nobody can complain about the either hurler they both rose to the occaision. It was exciting to to watch.

Even the young pitchers who post on this board know that one of the worst things a player can do is criticize those players playing behind them who are trying to do their best, as well. I don't know if SabreFan is a player or a parent, but it is unfortunate that he/she has taken it upon himself/herself to point the finger at players who probably already feel very badly about their errors. The last time I checked, it was a TEAM game.

There's not a pitcher in the SW4A who hasn't had an "LP" beside his name because of a couple of errors...just like there aren't any who haven't thrown a couple of bad pitches despite the fact that they were trying to do their best.

If you want ALL of the glory, go play tennis or golf. It's all part of the game.

I could not agree with you more! No finger pointing intended and sorry that you chose to take it that way. Just facts and informative reporting as ALL of us Sabre fans LOVE ALL our Sabre players!

Just wanted to give Vartanian the credit he was due along with Bard for a game well pitched. No more, no less. Again, sorry to phantom89 and any other Sabre fans that may have taken my earlier post any differently?!?

tellitlikeitis- ok....but I never mentioned the plays of the games. I think you have me confused with another post.

I just mentioned Bard and the score

But I would like to concur with Sabrefan about Charles Vartainian. He pitched great!!! Charles was bringin' it and mixed his pitches well :applause:
