Well after tooting their horns last week, Mooresville just lost 2nd game of season to Northwest Cabarrus on Tuesday,,, and East Rowan lost 2nd game (of course it was nonconference game) to 4A power North Davidson, probably wouldn't penalize East for that one.

Cliff, keep your eye on Mt.Pleasant who always has baseball talent for a small 2A school, but now they have a proven winning coach in former Central Cabarrus coach Bryan Tyson, and so far the Tigers have beaten Central 9-3 and are 4-0 so far on the season.

Good poll. East did lose to N. Davidson last night, but they called up a jayvee pitcher, Will Johnson, to throw. I think Coach Hightower was thinking big picture with a game against South Rowan on Friday looming in the near future. N. Davidson is aguably the best team in the entire state so a chance at victory for the Mustangs would have not been likely to happen anyway. N. Davidson pitched their horse in Zach White, however, and even brought in LSU signee Tyler Hanover to close out the game.

I think East is going to have their ACE, Corbin Shive, throwing against South on Friday, with everybody else available as well.

What is the western-most geographical cut-off line for this poll? Wow, that was a mouthful! It looks like Forest City-Hickory area.
