    All and all I think I pretty nice job considering the area they have to cover and the 5 classes of schools involved. There is always a team left out that may have garnered some consideration, but that's why they play the games.


    I think the Salisbury Post is releasing their Annual Baseball Preview tommorrow which will be an in depth review of all the Rowan County teams, Davie Co., Kannapolis, etc.

    What is the geographical area that is covered by these rankings?

    Cliff can answer this better, but there are about 130 schools in the Charlotte Observer's circulation area. This is approximately in a circle that is formed by Stanly co. to the east Iredell and Alexander counties to the north, Rutherford to the west and Union and Anson counties to the south plus an number of schools in York and Lancaster counties in South Carolina.

    There are some schools that do not meet the Observer's criteria to be available for SW16 consideration.

    Cliff, nice poll,,, I like Mt.Pleasant being ranked about where they are, they should be best in Cabarrus County area,,,, also agree about adding Mooresville and I'd add Lake Norman at least in "others" category.

    One team that clearly should come out right now is West Rowan.

    It's nice to see Olympic gets some props! They deserve it.

    Also, surprised that there isn't a SC team on the list. There aren't any strong teams this year?
