    Great effort by the Cherryville team. You've been there twice in five years and no other team in the state has even "sniffed" the championship in years. Congratulations from all the fans in Gaston and Lincoln counties. You gave the region and state a special feeling of pride. Good luck in your college careers, high school seasons and beyond!

    Many thanks to the Cherryville young men for providing an enjoyable summer of watching baseball. Watching young men with a lot of heart play ball beats watching overpaid major leaguers any day of the week!!
