I'd recommend that you bring a chair to this game...as there will be no seating available after game time.

The place will be packed and rockin'

This series may not mean a lot....but pride has a strange way of showing itself in a series like this.

There is some speculation that over 1000+ people may attend

...Oh...by the way...Braves and myself will be handling Concession duties..so don't get upset if the service is a little slow...unless you tip..we are real fast with good tippers!

    Chief:

Along with you and Braves handling the South Meck concession tonight (heaven help us) at the Pineville/Cherryville Legion game, I hear that Original will be serving the South Meck's concession speciality drink "Swamp Juice" also.

As for myself, well, I will be ushering and coordinating the stadium seating arrangements as fans arrive as usual (as you are not supposed to sit your chairs on the walkway in front of the stands at South Meck). Even though South Meck has amble stadium seating, it's always nice to have the fans greated properly and, of course, Vocis337 will have the musical entertainment and announcing covered for a VERY enjoyable evening at the Southdome?!?

All of the above, of course, is weather permitting!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, oh never mind, we'll be in the Southdome so rain will NOT be an issue tonight at South Meck, right?!?

Swamp Juice, BagDome, the very capable Vocis keeping us informed and entertained, sounds like a night. I might be able to get the USS Gonzo fired up, so I will bring it in case we need evacuation help when the creek floods. If we can get Prepster out there, it could be complete.

    But oh Gonzo:

Along with the 2003 Spring addition of the Southdome (Bagdome) at the South Meck Baseball Complex, South now have a newly constructed durable lavish suspension bridge over beautiful “Sabre Creek” so that when Sabare Creek does rise from ALL of the rain, there is still a rapid escape route for players and fans!

And…just for Braves and Chief, the South Meck concession has recently been upgraded and air-conditioning added as well!!! The new air-conditioned concession also helps keep Original’s Swamp Juice pristine as well?!?

Also know, Emmy Award winning meteorologist SabreFan and Storm Team 5 brings you the South Meck weather in the South Meck Weather Booth/Trailer…the newest 2003 Summer addition to the South Meck Baseball Complex. This newly added structure includes internet connections for: Live Early Warning Doppler 5 Weather radar, Southeast radar, faxes, copier machine, etc., for quality forecasting…the latest craze in Charlotte baseball complexes!!! The South Meck Weather Booth/Trailer will keep ALL informed whether or not inclement weather is approaching and whether or not the baseball games can commence!!!

At this time, Sabre Fan and Storm Team 5 are reporting for the South Meck Complex:
A mostly cloudy type forecast for South Meck. South Meck will get lots of clouds and a little sun today. Highs will reach the middle 80s. There is a good chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms at South Meck. Some of these storms may produce lightning, hail, and high wind. At this time, the Pineville/Cherryville Legion game/ball will start rolling promptly at 7:00pm.

And, last but not least, Vocis337 has his very own remodeled voguish/fashionable lounge over the South Meck concession where he announces and parties way after the baseball games are over at South Meck into the wee hours of the night!!!

Actually, no bells on my toes, but still limping... but I am coming no matter what! Good luck Pineville!! :xyzwave:

Pineville loses tonight 6-2 to Cherryville in Round 1 of the Area 4 Legion play-off final series at South Meck.

I was hoping that we would either hear from CC12501 or VOCIS337 with details from the game but maybe we will hear from them later. They stilll may be in shock from the Cherryville fan's attitudes from tonight's game?!? Can you imagine what attitude's the Cherryville fan's might have had if they had lost this game?!?

Anyway, the South Meck Weather Storm Team 5 did a fine job keeping track of the possible approaching storms to the Charlotte area tonight. SabreFan was able to report to the umpires that the weather would not effect the Pineville/Cherryville Legion game at South Meck tonight and that all was well.

But, what happened to Original? Did the Swamp Juice delivery truck break down with the delivery to the South Meck concession tonight?

Round 2 of the Area 4 Legion Pineville/Cherryville play-offs will be in Cherryville.
