Not a good indication of just how good Chris is. Hadn't pitched in a while and pitching against some of the best seniors NC has to offer. He was absolutely unhittable in two outings in Fort Myers this fall. Hey, if the Tarheels offered, that's all you need to know. Colleges today, with the new roster reductions, can't afford to miss or recruit projects. They need players that can produce day 1.

Congratulations to Chris and his family![/quote]

Just passing info from the sources. I have seen very good and with the right direction will get better. Agree with the roster reductions. It will make pitching more than just sit back and bring the offers. You better have it and when they offer you better know soon or it could just go away.

    It speaks for itself

I think it speaks for itself when UNC goes after an 09 this early. We better get him locked up before someone else does. The fact is the kid is a stud. He went to Jupiter and shoved it against some of the best 08's in the nation. He has a great pitchers body and is only going to get better. Guys like Munnelly dont have to worry about offers going away. Its more about getting it over with if the right school has offered. Obviously he wanted to be a Tarheel and I sure am happy about that. He pitched in the 88 mph range in Jupiter and touched 89-90. He commands a great breaking ball and change up with a smooth easy delivery. Great kid and family.
