Hester was in the line-up last night in the Catawba Valley Classic, Foard beat Newton 53 to 37. Playing on the larger floor at CVCC both teams looked sluggish. Hickory and Foard battle tonight at CVCC at 8.30. Bet they have to open the upper section up for seating tonight. *****

Sloppy first Christmas game but get a much needed win

Win gives them a shot at powerhouse TC Roberson in the championship game on thursday - they beat North Surry by 8 in first round. Both of those teams looked good

Round #2 Hickory 54 / Foard 46, Hickory is now 10-1 , Foard is now 11-1, they will do battle again jan. 24th. unless there is an upset before then, it should determine CVAC championship.*****

    TC Roberson 58 Watauga 46

    TC Roberson 58 Watauga 46

Watauga post players got into foul trouble early in the first and could not get any real flow going in the offense. Hung tight for most of the game but TC's experience to much to handle. Missed the presence of Soph Rebekah Pineda tonight. Would not be surprised if TC makes a run at the title in a few years.

    WATAUGA ALL-TOURNAMENT
    Anna Romano
    Kelly Cherry-Leigh

    Tournament MVP
Pooh Dunbar - she deserved it - she is smooth around the basket

South Caldwell over Forestview I think the final was 72-48. Not real sure of the exact score maybe someone else can help with that. SC plays Hopewell for the championship tomarrow at 7:00
