    be careful

I really enjoy the board, but i feel that i have to say this. When i read some of the comments, you guys give the impression that you know it all. Statements like he is or is not D1 material or he doesn't impress me. I would bet that over 90 per cent of you guys are not coaches or scouts and believe me even they will tell you it isn't an exact science predicting who will do what. I love reading everyone posts but unless you are the expert everyone is looking for lets keep things positive.

The only reason why I would mention something like that is because that is what I believe. Some players just don't jump out and bite you as superstar college players. With how fast players can progress my comments might be void in a few months. I agree with you completely about what you have said I was just stating an opinion.:twocents:

Hopefully you will find out as you view the messages on this board, which sources are more reliable than others. There are plenty of cagy veterans who know a whole lot more than I do here, but all opinions should be respected here unless they are degrading of a kid. Here, I can say they are and I am glad to be associated with a fine group of posters, and shall I say, friends.

Coachevans is right :agreed: . I have been on the board for about 3 years and I have really had no problems with anyone. This board is chock full of people who know what they are talking about, some are parents of players, and some are the players themselves. But whether or not something that is said might be wrong, everyone is entitled to opinions. Misrepresenting facts is much different. Having a conversation with others that are much more experienced than you can only make you more knowledgable.

That's a founding principle of this board and ultimately the reason why I started it...Thanks pirates for the reminder.

There are all types of posters on here; parents, players, HS coaches and college coaches. What weight you give one's opinion will be based on your own observations of their posts

But I will tell you 3 poster's opinions to give absolutely no weight at all:

    - Braves
    - NCBBallfan
    - Prepster

    Those guys just ramble

I agree! I pull for all of the kids..... Rather than hype, the past or hear says, go see the kids play! There are alot of intangibles when it comes to baseball! I like the sight and enjoy the comments!

I would include Jonathan Wright of TCR in this group. He's an athletic 6"5" 180 pound RHP/OF, with a great bat. He'll be playing for the Dirtbags this summer.

    Top 07 players

I would have to list South Granvilles Chris Luck to this list. Luck is a very athletic 6'3 185 lb kid. He is not pitching yet this year he has a strain in the elbow area but should be ready by the end of the season. Luck can play anywhere except behind the plate. He runs well 7.0 60 and can flat out hit. So far this year he is hitting .420 with 4 hr's and 6 dbls. Luck has tremendous power from the right side. Luck when he is healthy can bring it from the hill as well. A great kid with loads of potential.
