    Gold

    DDD the 14U just used the Gold color because we had two 14U teams. They just did not want confusion. The Blues Elite 18U is going to play some Gold tournaments next summer and see how we fare. We will play less tournaments because of cost but our girls want the chance and we are going to try and give them their chance. We feel using our 2007 and a good mix of 2008/2009, we can compete.

    East Gaston, Pitcher.

    Developing into one outstanding pitcher and should be another "player to watch" next high school season and probably years to come!!

    I'm sorry for the confusion it's John Fagala's fault that we are called the "GOLD" team, he wanted to distinguish his team ( Lady Blues " WHITE" ) from us ,and since we were older he started calling us the "GOLD TEAM"....but anyway those days are behind us as we press onto greener fields......GURU

    Morgan Barbour

    Morgan Barbour from Garner HS should be a good one..
    She has a strong body and size, hits for power, plus good blood lines...
    Dad Mo is the Garner HS Coach (softball) and Garner legion baseball coach.
    He played at NCSU for Coach Esposito, in early 80's, with Tanner etc.

    08 Kids

    Stacy Barber, East Montgomery, P/IF: Athletic (volleyball front row player, too), physically very strong; Top 10% of her class; Excellent size at 5'11", 160#;

    Carlee Carpenter, Bandys, SS/C: Extremely athletic player who is top-notch setter on volleyball team; Quick feet and strong arm; Perhaps the most underated prospect in the NC '08 class; Academically, in top 15% of class

    Ashley Carter, East Surry, OF: Text book line drive hitter; Excellent defensive skills with strong arm and solid stick; one of the top ten '08 outfielders in the state

    Maleah Cousineau, Franklin, C/1B: Primarily a catcher; Great size (5'9", 165#), bright (4.35 GPA); Plays for Georgia Elite Gold, so she's not seen a lot by area colleges, but she is definitely a player; Ranked near top 10% of graduating class

    Amanda Davenport, West Johnston, P/IF: Clocked at 62 this summer; solid all-around player who can contribute at the plate

    Jordan Poarch, Alexander Central, C/OF: Very good arm strength (1.85 pop time); Excellent hitting stroke; Clutch hitter; Catcher is primary position

    Jessie Taylor, Hopewell, OF: No question, one of the top outfielding '08 prospects in the state due to her speed, intelligence and the way she handles the bat

    Kendayl Waugh, West Iredell, OF/2B: Lacks nothing - Very good foot speed, arm strength and bat speed along with versatility; Athletic with a great attitude; Academically in 10% of her class
