    This summer

Thanks for asking. Im doing great. This summer I took a break from coaching after the HS season. My youngest son 08 played with the Carolina Cubs 18u team. I spent the summer watching him play and working with my oldest son on strength and conditioning getting ready for his first year of college football. Right now we are well into our off season strength and conditioning program for our HS team. We start fall ball with the cubs next week end at Mount Olive. This is the first summer that I have not coached in quite awhile. But I spent most days at the field working of course on it and working with the players. Its been alot of fun to just go to the games and relax and watch the boys play. Nice to hear from you.

    Cubs teammate

Hi, Coach May. I look forward to meeting you this fall as my son will also be on the Cubs. He is Mac Read a lefty pitcher. I wasn't able to attend Mt Olive but will definitely be at the next one. What did you think of the team?

    Cubs 18u

I look forward to meeting you as well. Jeff is playing with the 16u team this fall. I met your son this summer when Jeff played with him on the 18u team. He is a great young man. He and Jeff had quite a battle yesterday. Mack started him out with fb off the plate ball 1. CB nasty strike 1. Change up inside ripped foul down the left field line 1-2. Curveball low and away ball 2. FB low and away fouled off 2-2. FB up and in ball 3. CB low in the dirt ball 4. Mack pitched really well he did not give up any runs and struck out a few. The 18u team is loaded. Their pitching staff is ridiculous. And they are loaded as well at the plate and in the field. I think they are going to have quite a year. I spoke to Mack yesterday and his grandfather as well. I know you are proud of your son he is quite a player. But even a better young man. I will see you at the next tourney in a couple of weeks. Good Luck

    Cubs Staff vs Dirtbags Staff

    Both are deep and talented:

    Cubs Dirtbags
    Robbie Bray Ryan Morris
    BJ Dail Addison Johnson
    Mac Read Jeremy Jeffress
    Sam Brown Wade Moore
    Drew Poulk Parker Bangs
    Lonnie Chisenhall Hunter Ford

Plus other great pitchers on both rosters. Hate to face either staff. Dirtbags staff probably better known but would love to see a seven game series between those two teams. Wonder why they never play one another?

In looking at the schedule for the Labor Day tourney on the Impact site, it doesn't look like those two teams are scheduled against one another. Don't really understand why either since it would be a great matchup.
