Maybe we need some kind of rule (or other protocol) where the home team or visiting team or winning team or losing team, or whatever, is expected to report the score.

Some teams are really good at reporting the score whether they lose or not. Seems like others don't report it if they lose. Some don't report it either way.

Bottom line is, for the benefit of the sport and its participants, the score needs to be reported. As much as we expect from the players the least we can do is give them credit.

Watched Garner play the other night. That team is stacked! Better than I've ever seen them!

Teams looking to compete with them best not be slacking!

    Lazy

Be Honest.... Some, not all... Some HS coaches really care about their teams and the conference they are in and even the division. But from looking on Maxpreps. IMO "some" HS coaches are LAZY. They really don't care to take the time. Only care if they win or lose. When you have maybe 2 to 4 girls in this case for Softball, that might be able go to the next level. Coaches will just forget it and let the girls and TB coaches handle their stats and scoreing.... Maybe thats why a lot of college coaches and asst coaches don't care to come to a local HS game. They don't here anything from the HS coaches. JMO

I'm not positive about this, but I believe colleges are required to post their stats. If it's good enough for higher levels, why not make it a requirement for HS Varsity?

As far as college coaches not watching HS games: when it is not restricted by NCAA rules, I believe that college coaches will come watch HS if requested by prospective players. It would probably be a very good idea not to ask them to a run-rule game.

Some of the best players I've seen I saw in HS, long before I watched them on TV!

oops!! After re-reading this I need to make it clear I didn't mean that the teams they have played were slacking. Completely the opposite. Clayton and East Wake are definitely playoff material—not slackers!

My intent was to make the teams that haven't played them yet aware of what to expect. IOW, step it up!
