They are tryiing to keep this infomation securre. But it isn't the head coach, or I wouldn't think since he has won so many games and takes them to the playoffs regularly. Maybe an assisstant, not sure how many they have at ACHS. 2 of the 4 new guys are teachers on staff at ACHS, I believe all of the coaches on the baseball staff this spring will all be teachers at the high school. Again this is infomation that has yet to be told pubblicaly.

It could be that some of you are thinking Post 170. The Taylorsville Legion team. I believe no changes are in store for AC Baseball.

yes... this is true...unfortunately this post could be posted in a couple different threads here...sufice it to say that, favoritism, politics and parents have struck again at ACHS and at American Legion Baseball in Taylorsville...The two people responsible for bringing American Legion Baseball back to Taylorsville, and finishing better than any other coaches in the last 10 years, are out...and the Asst. coach at ACHS for the last two years is no longer going to coach at ACHS....if any school is looking for a qualified pitching coach or Legion team is seeking a qualified pitching coach, let me know ..i will forward your request...he has done a lot for the kids at ACHS and has and cares more about the kids going on to the next level. Thanks to that assistant the 3 starting seniors from last years ACHS baseball team has had the opportunity to go to the next level, three players off last years Legion team went on to be accepted in college, and a few of the seniors this season have college coaches looking at them..

The head coach has already lied to some of the baseball players and the AD lied to me...respect is something that is earned...to lie, deceive, and blame others is not how to earn respect. Any respect that has been earned is destroyed when you lie, blame others and deceive....

ACHS doesn't exactly have a super good reputation, and, it appears, that reputation, is going to be further tarnished...

Playme this is sad news indeed. I hate to see anybody loose their job especially if they care about the kids. You don't find that everywhere these days. You seem to have the inside scoop on this so what's the real story? What is the head coach saying and what is the AD saying? Also if you can pass a message along to coach Perry about a coaching job you must know him well enough to know his side of the story. I'd like to know the real story if you can share it. Also who are the two guys responsible for starting the Legion program back up? Would one of them be the post commander or maybe a school board member? Also who were the three kids that signed to play college ball? Again I hate to here this news it seems things were going pretty well. I hope things will work out for Coach Perry, he sounds like a good guy.

I was wondering about the Legion team here in Taylorsville. I missed them when they came to play Pineville last year, but I heard that they beat Bard. I followed Pineville regularly for years, and always enjoyed seeing teams out of conference coming in to play us. So the Legion team here is coached by a board member and the comander? This Coach Perry (I asumming that is the person that has been "let go" made a diference in these kids lives. It is a shame that he won't be around this year. 3 kids going to college from last years team must have made that team awesome! How will ACHS do this year in everyones opinion? Their field looks like it is going to be nice this year, so maybe things will turn out for the best! You know the saying, out with the old, and in with the new!
