    The Challengers are a great hitting group. Was wondering where Presnell was going. ONe of the best hitters ever in NC fastpitch IMHO. Navas got a good one.

    Yeah Coach Williams is loading up. Two more that were left off the list are:

    Paige Brantley - Wake Forest Rolesville
    Anna James - Newport HS in Bellevuw, Washington

    Four of his signees will be playing in the NC 4A State Championships this weekend.

    Asheville Citizen reporting in today's paper Sarah Soesbee (Enka) signing with Walter's State in Tn. I thought and it was reported that she had signed with Montreat. What's the scoop?

    Sarah had a verbal committment to Montreat, but Walters State offers the classes that she is interested in.
    We appreciate Coach Lingerfelt's understanding and she fully supports Sarah's decision.
    She will be signing this afternoon. Enka teammate, Miranda Tounzen
    has also signed with Walters State. Sarah and Miranda have played softball together since they were 9 years old so it is pretty neat that they will be playing college ball together.
    Walters State (Morristown, Tn) plays both fall and spring ball. They finished the spring season with a 38-19 record and made it to the final four in the NJCAA play-offs.
