COLLEGE SOFTBALL CAMPS

USC Upstate Jan. 19th Clinic

THE CAMP IS OFFICALLY CLOSED.. We will not be able to take

anymore new applications to ensure the camps effectiveness. We will

however honor people that have previously called. The camp will be set up

to keep everyone moving with limited down time. Everyone who is registered

needs to make sure you bring your tennis shoes for the cages, bat, glove,

and I would recommend batting gloves. Alot of quality swings. We will break

30 min. for lunch. I would recommend a bag lunch, however there are

fast food places close by. Based on the number of participants the camp will

go from 11:00 until around 5:00. Please be at Cyrill Stadium for registration

between 10:00 and 10:45. Although we will have around 175 registered, the

camp will be taught with a lot of passion and desire to improve everyone that

attends! I will ensure that. We have 27 instructors working the camp. If

you are a catcher please bring your equipment. See you on the 19th!

Update on Upstate Softball Camp

The Clinic will be held reguardless of the weather. We have a lot of indoor

facilities we can use if we need to. As of right now we plan to have the

hitting groups inside and the defensive work outside. The weather for

Saturday is Sunny and 43 as of right now. Dress warm for the defensive

work and make sure you bring tennis shoes for inside. We will meet at the

Hodge Center to start off the day as of right now. See you

Saturday. BRING WARM CLOTHES!

 

Saturday Clinic at USC Upstate

The clinic is set up to accommodate all inside if need be. We will try and get

outside if weather permits but reguardless we have a lot of space inside to

do the entire clinic. Please bring clothes and shoes for both outside and

inside. Meet at the Hodge Center between 10:15 and 10:45 for registration.

2 day camp @ UNC Chapel Hill; Jan. 20th & 21st. First day is defense, hitting. Second day is for pitchers/catchers.

 

Upstate Softball Camp

The camp will be all inside tomorrow. We have two full gyms, weight room,

and big lobby. Just bring your batting gloves, tennis Shoes, bat and helmet.

The forcast is for rain and snow from 8 am until around 3 with little or no

accumilation. The temperature will remain in the high 30's. Nothing should

freeze if it does snow! See you tomorrow!

 

UPSTATE SOFTBALL CAMP

On behalf of USC Upstate we would like to thank the 115 campers that came

on a unpredictable weather day. You hopefully left with a lot more

knowledge than you came in with. We look forward to seeing you this

summer at the Upsate Softball camp. Have a great high school and travelball

season!

How was this camp?

 

Great..

Very well organized and very hands on by coach Donna Papa and her staff. Information and skills/drills were age-appropriate. My dd and 5 of her teammates really got alot out of this one!
Due to the snow on Saturday evening and cold temps. on Sunday, event was pushed back and hour and moved inside the fieldhouse; but even that was handled with no apparent hitches. Nothing but praise for UNC
