Just one question, but isn/wasn't the starter for FS a RH? If so, I'm surprised Fleury is not the DH. Has Gore been batting well tonight?

    Top 8th

Closer for FSU in- Burke all time saves leader for FSU

Seager at the plate 0-3 on the night
Great play by FSU ball hit in the hole between 2nd and 1st - 2nd throws to pitcher from shallow rf for the out.

Fed at the plate 0-2 with a walk on the night
Single through the five hole runner on first one out.

Shelton hits a ball in the hole and the SS makes a heck of a play forcing Fed at second base. What a play. These guys have made play after play.

Runner on first 2 outs Seth up.

Seth is 0-3 on the night
He got hosed on a third strike call earlier in the game
K's on curveball out of the zone inning over.

    FSU keeps making great plays.

Going to the bottom of the 8th FSU still leads 6-1

As far as Gore hitting and not Fleury I am not sure why they made that call Braves.

    Bottom of the 8th

Catapano hits the first batter on a pitch that looked like a strike over the inside corner. The batter turned into a curveball that caught his shirt but was caught over the plate for a strike. Hmmmmm?

Trice in to pitch. Runner on first no outs.
Trice walks the batter now runners on 1st and 2nd no outs.

    Trice is pumping it 90-92.

F8 one out runners on 1st and 2nd.

Ground ball 4-6 force no chance for dp. Runners on corners 2 outs.

Trice looks good. Shown a slider in the 83 range and a cb as well. FB in the 90-92 range so far. One more out to go before the rally.

K's the batter no runs no hits.

We go to the top of the 9th

Same old story. Too many walks allowed, too many runners left on base.

    Edit:
Double play to end the game. That Mendonca kid at third base is a hell of a fielder.

    Its over

    Fleury 4-3 hitting for Grape
Ackley singles up the middle for a hit "whats new"
Gore hits into a 5-4-3 dp to end the game

Collin hit the nail on the head. Too many walks and no hitting with risp.

Digital Cable in my area carried the game on channel 151. Of course the Tarheels have certainly hit better throughout the season, but to be fair, they did hit some shots and they just went right at'em,,, either that or the FSU shortstop and 3Bman were just making helluva plays.

Just wasn't the Heels night. Congrats to them on another great season tho.
