Pops...you beat me to the punch. I'm going to reserve my thoughts for a later post. You are deserving of my entire feelings about your efforts towards this board.

    Bruce,
Thanks for the invaluable information you've provided the past few years. It has really been a big help. Best of luck to you, your family and Tom at Elon (a great school). I can see the lights at the Davidson College ballfield from my house when they have night games so hopefully we'll be able to stop by and see your son in Southern Conference action next year.

    Keep the faith!!!

PS - I've been missing that other N.Meck pitching dad too since he closed his batting center (Dewayne Rosenbaum, you too Hopewell Dad Larry Woodall). It was great having you guys around.

    Mr. Porter

Ever since I've joined this site it has been nothing short of an honor to have met you. I am still upset that I didn't get to meet you when West played North, but hey, maybe one of these days. Though I have to say it's going to be a lonely place here without you, I sure do respect you for the decision you have made. I haven't been here long, but from the day I joined you have been just great. From the talks about recruiting, to the talks about the old days, it has just been wonderful. I thank you for everything, and hopefully one of these days we'll run into eachother. Congratulations to your son, you must be awfully proud of him, and I hope he does nothing but excel at the next level, which I'm sure he will (without a doubt).

    With great thanks,
    Dylan Cyr

    Bruce,

It was great meeting and getting to know you this year. Tell Tom congratulations on a great year and good luck next year with Elon. I look forward to reading about his future successes. I'm sure we will see each other around a ball park somewhere.

    NC,

You have done a fantastic job with this board, and your efforts leave large shoes to fill. Although I never got to meet you in person, I thoroughly enjoyed our chats, and still hope to meet face to face someday.

I wish Tom all the best at Elon. I know he will do well, and you and your wife will love watching him. Enjoy every minute. Trust me, I know from experience, this college time will seem to fly by.

I look forward to reading your continued input on the board.

    All the best,
    John Willard

Pops.....has it been 3 years already????.....man, where did the time go....I must've fallen asleep at some point.

Seriously.....it has been great fun (at least most of it), hasn't it? I have to say that even though it was Braves that got us set up with LarryD, it has been you that has made this board what it has become. It's been your knowledge, humor, and dedication that has made TBR Prep Baseball a wealth of information for countless aspiring HS athletes and their parents, including me and mine.

Although I'm certain our paths will cross again in the future and you know what I think of Tom as a person and a player, I just had to respond to this thread. All the best wishes to you and your family, good luck to Tom at Elon.

I have always enjoyed your posts and our chats. I truly hope to meet you one day face to face and get to shake your hand. Maybe catch an Elon game in the area next year as our boy will be back for a 5th season. Good Luck, Mike

    Bruce,
After reading one of your in depth posts, I called you one of the smartest guys that I have never met. I realize all of the information you supplied this board was really a lot of research done late at night and took a lot of time and effort on your part. You shared a lot of what you learned with a whole lot of baseball nuts that had a lot of the same questions. Your interest in high school baseball coupled with your unselfish sharing of information has helped a lot of people make important decisions for their players. Thanks!

P.S. I doubt you have gone away completely, guys like you just enjoy helping people.
