East Meck beat Providence 4-2 in a very well pitched game between Ben Buchanan from East and Tyler Collins from Providence. Both through complete games with East getting some timely hits from David Teague and Craig Burnham. Collins pitched a great game, and only 2 of his runs were earned. East plays Waddell on Friday and then Myers Park for the conference championship on Monday night. Should be a great one.

    East Meck 10-2
    Myers Park 9-2
    Providence 8-4
    South Meck 8-4

Sorry Sabre. Congrats to Bagwell and South on their win against Myers Park. Who would win in a tiebreaker between South Meck and Providence?

They face each other tomorrow (Friday) night. The winner of that game will determine who finishes 3rd

Braves -- mighty nice of you to give Myers Park two out of their remaining three against Butler, East and Olympic. You never know, if they drop two of them they drop to 10-4 and a potential tie with the South - Prov winner.

But it's not a real possibility that somebody other than one of the top 4 will win the tourney (I know, I know, Providence won from the 5th spot last year, but while Butler and Olympic could pull off an upset, neither has the pitching depth to win 3 straight in the tourney), so those 4 will all be in the state tourney -- and after looking over the brackets the only real advantage for any of the SW4A reps is the #1 seed.

Well..it's not being nice, I was just being honest. I have predicted MP to win the conference since November and nothing I've seen has changed my opinion.

You are correct again, my Kimmasabee. The 1st place winner has an advantage but teams 2-4 does not matter. All will play 1st seed teams

If you are looking for a "this year Providence" ( a team starting to play to it's abilities ) it would be South Meck. They are hitting on all cylinders right now...they are dangerous

Nope -- I was quite happy with things the way they were, not lookin for any late-season up-starts -- can we go back?
