conference teams in the same bracket

    In 2A East all 5 ECC teams won in the first round. In the 2nd round 4 of them have to play each other. Swansboro vs East Duplin SL vs Topsail Just wondering if any other brackets are set up this way.

    Just curious, how did so many teams from the same conference make it to playoffs?

    Having them all meet up early kinda sucks, though.

    There are 8 teams in the ECC. The top 5 make the playoffs. Just glanced at the other brackets and the conferences seem to dispersed evenly.Whoever made up the brackets should have looked at this. I guess we will have a conference tournament after all.

    In SC, the top 4 region finishers are dispersed into each of four districts in the upstate; the same thing is also done in the lower state. This guarantees that you wont have to play someone in your region in the first level of the playoffs. Each district tournament is a double elimination bracket.

    The winners of the districts then play for the upper state (or lower state) championship (in another double elimination bracket). In AAAA in the upper state, three of the district winners were from the same region, so it was almost a region tournament.
