    Thanks tj.

That will be a helluva 2nd round game between two of the best 3A teams in the state if W Rowan and Ragsdale both win their first round games.

...possible West Rowan/Ragsdale 2nd round matchup...

Wossa, you're exactly right, if this 2nd round game materializes, it should be one of the better early round games statewide. One of the top 3-4 teams in the state 3A will be going home early. And to add some spice to this potential game, you may know that West star pitcher Patrick Adams has been out with an injury. Word is that he may return just in time to pitch in the 2nd round,,,, against "you know who",,,,,, yes your Tigers!!!

Wakefield beat Sanderson last night 16 to 0
Wake Forest beat Leesville (do not remember score)
Broughton beat Millbrook 2 to 0

That make Wakefield the #1 seed out of the Cap 6
Millbrook comes out as the 2nd seed even though they are tied with Wake Forest for second because Millbrook beat Wake Forest twice

Wakefield is 20-3 overall and 8-2 in the conference
I think Millbrook is 17-7 overall and 7-3 in the conference

When I get home I will pull out the paper and give you guys the Tri-7 and Triangle Alliance standings because I do not remember and JM15 may be right maybe my recollection is poor

Does anyone have a Hopewell/Central Cabarrus final?

The final score was Central Cabarrus 9 - Hopewell - 4. Ryan Stage started for Hopewell. Central Cabarrus came out strong with their bats in the first inning, scoring 4 runs. Ben Beard replaced Stage during the 2nd inning, with the score 6-0 and although Hopewell managed to get some runs on the board, Central tacked on a few more runs as well. Very disappointing loss for the Titans, as Central will now advance to the State tournament as the 3rd place seed.

well if we beat them we want to beat their best.

Thats what made Ragsdale win over Northeast go satisfying. We knocked out their ace Mitch Atkins.

And ragsdale has seen Alex Sink return to the line up. At 2nd base he was probably their top returning player. Rapped three hits last night against Asheboro. Can't wait to see the rubber game with Eastern Randolph tonight for the championship. It should be a tight, intense game.

Patrick Adams has already returned to his regular pitching work outs and seems none worse for the wear. If West reachs the 2nd round of the State Tournament he has assured me that, " I'll be ready."

I agree with you guys, IF it happens, it should be a good game. Good luck to the Tigers.
