SW 4A tourney Olympic 11 Myers Park 8

Olympic opened the top of the 1st scoring 6 runs and extended the lead to 8-2 in the 4th. Myers Park added a run in the 4th to make it 8-3. Myers Park scored 5 in the bottom of the 6th to tie the score at 8-8. Neither team scored in the 7th inning. Steven Aponte hit a 3 run home run in the top of the 8th to put Olympic up 11-8. Myers Park threatened in the bottom of the 8th loading the bases with 2 out. Wes Waddell made a diving catch of Jeremy Mathis' fly ball in left field to end the game.

Matt Clapham gets the win for Olympic in relief, pitching the 7th and 8th innings. Jeremy Mathis pitched the 7th and 8th innings for Myers Park and gets the loss. Greg Conrad was the starting pitcher for Olympic going 5 2/3 innings. Wes Waddell provided 1/3 inning of relief for Olympic. Kennell was the starting pitcher for Myers Park going 6 innings.

Leading hitters for Olympic were Steven Aponte - 2 home runs and 5 RBI's and Cole David added a home run and 2 RBI's. Leading hitters for Myers Park were Burger with a 2 run home run and Cramer also with a 2 run home run.

Olympic advances to the 2nd round of the tournament and will play the Providence vs. Waddell winner Tomorrow night (Tuesday) 05/11/2004 at 6:00 PM at Providence High School.
