    Question?

OK I'll ask the question. Lots of discussion as always about D1 vs. D2 vs. D3 and even JUCO. So How would you rank the best say 15 college programs in NC? Solely based on who would win say a best of seven series head to head. Nothing to do with academics, prettiest field, hottest girls, yada, yada, yada. Straight up mano u mano.

Sorry, don't want to hijack this thread. Maybe it should be another by itself.

    Congrats to Belmont Abbey!

Not to say that stronger D-1 programs will win every game. I just think you can not compare them as apples and apples. It would be more like apples, oranges, bananas and grapes. Just look at the roosters and compare player to player.

    Toupenet

Is the Toupenet kid (from Orlando) panning out at Belmont Abbey? He's a MIF (maybe 5/8 and 160?). Any report on him from anyone out there?

I'm not certain who you mean. If he's on the Development Squad, I wouldn't see him since the teams practice separately. But we didn't sign anyone by that name.

    Eric Grabe

Mr Grabe told me he would love for me to post that his son Eric Grabe from Ocala Florida signed with Belmont Abbey. This is the young man Ive been talking about on this thread. Like I posted before he plays 3b ss but Belmont will play him where they see fit. The young man can mash. He is an outstanding baseball player. As posted earlier he had several offers in his home state and at other schools but Belmont Abbey out recruited these schools. Its that plain and simple. They got him to visit. They loved the area and were sold completely on the coaches once they met with them. Congrats to Belmont Abbey and to Eric.

Let me extend my congratulations to the Grabe family. This is exciting news for the Crusaders and "bad news" for their opponents. Congratulations to Eric and let me be the first to say "Welcome y'all" to North Carolina

I think the Toupenet kid is a freshman and basically a walk-on so he is either with the development squad or never showed up in the first place. Last I heard he was accepted and heading that way from Orlando.

    Check it out for me?

Will do. I emailed my son.

Coach 27, thanks for the info. Actually I already had learned Eric's name. Ty was his weekend host on the campus visit. He does that alot for Kermit & Chris. He doesn't tell me much info because they like to keep that visit stuff quiet. They know I have a big TBR mouth!

plus they know I have a reputation for stealing said recruits :clapclap:

Seriously, the coaches are wise to have Ty chaperone the recruits. He is what every coach wants their players to be like.
