The first team at Newton-Conover to make the playoffs since 1996. This was a hard fought game that no one should have lost. Congratulations to a team that should not make the playoffs (8-13?). NC only has one true TB player, one senior, and around 4 1st year players. I will give props to Bunker HIll. They should not have lost last night. The game was 4-0 BH going into like the 5th inning when NC started hitting the ball. Up to that point, Ashley had only given up like 2 hits. Ashley, Racheal, and Megan all played their hearts out for Bunker Hill and it is sad the way the game ended. With 2 outs, 2 strikes, a runner on 2nd and 1st. NC's #9 batter(1st yr player) hits a rutine ball to center field and both runs score to win the game. Unfortunatley, this breaks BH's streak of 4 straight years of going into the playoffs. Freshman Chelsea Cullars(Southern Shock) was voted by her peers as team before self last night and awarded a game ball as she stepped it up behind the plate and at the plate for the Red Devils. She has not officially been released from the Dr. with a torn shoulder muscle and has been out for a couple weeks. Chelsea also had a solid game at the plate driving in key runs in the comeback.( Sorry coach Ricky, it's hard to keep her off the field)

Racheal Chapman (Carolina Chick)had a great day at the plate for the Bears! Props to Racheal for playing hard !!!!!:2guns:By the way, nice gun over on 1st to catch the runner sleeping....LOL

Thanks to Fred T. Foard for allowing us to use their field and lights for this game. Everyone was very nice from Foard to support us.
