Congrats to RV

    Just wanted to say congrats to RV on his 800th....yes 800th career victory last night. I doubt anyone will ever come close unless they start giving coaches steriods!

    Unbelievable record......the man was born to coach-- a living legend. However, I'm sure he would give the credit to Marvin for most of them.

    Great Coach.....Outstanding Man! Rose and RV doing what they do best again in this year's playoffs....NO SURPRISE!

    1- very good coach (great actually)
    2- stamina

    dont think anyone will come close to this one

    I was fortunate that my two sons got to play for RV. He is as good as you can find, on the field and off the field.

    it would take a young coach averaging 20 wins a year for 40 years to get to 800 or if you could average 25 wins a year it would "only" take 32 years to get there. Simply amazing job by RV and a record that will continue to grow and very likely stand a long time.

    Think of all the young men he has had such a positive influence on to accumulate 800 wins. One could probably not count the number of former players who have gone on to coach their sons or other kids in little league, high school or college. It would no doubt be a very large number of people that RV's longevity will have reached.
