It's all of that BBQ I had in Goldsboro and Wilson. I was told if you eat too much it can make you lightheaded.

It would have been fun to be in Boone Saturday. I bet that town still hasn't recovered.

Can you imagine the emotions an App State supporter went through at the end? To kick what appeared to be the winning FG, watch Michigan complete a long pass downfield with 14 seconds left and then to watch Michigan attempt an easy FG to win the game....only to see it blocked!!!!!!

Stunning!....and unadulterated joy. This is why college football is so fun to watch

Coach, I reject the comparison to Chaminade since they played AT the Big House in a game that matters (UM's title hopes just got flushed). And Appy is three years running #1 in their division, which makes them equal to over half of D1 schools...including some Big 10. Are you aware that as a Conference the Big Ten is 5-5 the last 10 games against 1-AA?

I'm a closet Ohio State fan & loved this. But I confess: the Big 10 is a power conference bent toward Old School. And speed kills. (Ask the Buckeyes about the Florida game). Every analyst who watched agreed that Appy was man-for-man faster.

Since this was the 1st game, the weight differential (14 lbs per) & numbers didn't factor in (no injuries...100% fresh). And Appy has been pointing to this game since January.

I think Lloyd Carr & company just got the crap kicked out of them by a team that was better prepared & who would be ranked in the top 25 D1. And I wasn't surprised. I won alot of Hot Fudge Sundae bets at Church with Michigan transplants who willingly gave me 2 touchdowns or more. I guess I'll be putting on another 5 lbs.

Hey Ukey...call me if you need some help with those sundae's. By the way, great points. I didn't know that about the 1-AA record

    GO App State!

My oldest was at App for the baseball showcase and almost did not make it to the field in time for the 4:45 game because of one or two "celebrating" kids (maybe more) blocking the road. When my youngest saw a few kids (few hundred) carrying the goal post down the street he remarked "If this is college life, count me in!" I have my work cut out for me.

    Congrats App State

Did you think we would forget? I will agree with one thing you said. "Da Bears" could beat Michigan. The way they played today (Oregon) today. I think about any bout has a chance. Maybe we could get up a team and play em. We could be the Old Goats. Instead of pads we can use maple and ash.:28:
